ALUBOATS – SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

1. GENERAL

AluBoats offers collection, courier and/or freight delivery depending on the type of product purchased, its size and weight, and the delivery destination.

Because our products range from small boating accessories to outboard motors, trailers and complete aluminium boats, different delivery methods and charges may apply.

This Shipping & Delivery Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy.

2. DELIVERY OPTIONS

Depending on the product and destination, orders may be:

• Collected directly from AluBoats
• Sent by courier
• Sent by freight or specialised transport
• Delivered by an arranged transport provider

The delivery method will depend on the size, weight and nature of the order.

3. SMALL PRODUCTS & ACCESSORIES

Smaller products and accessories may be sent by courier where available.

Delivery charges may be calculated at checkout or communicated to the customer before dispatch.

Delivery times provided by a courier are estimates and may vary according to destination and circumstances outside the reasonable control of AluBoats.

4. LARGE & HEAVY PRODUCTS

Large or heavy products such as:

• Aluminium boats
• Boat trailers
• Outboard motors
• Large marine equipment
• Oversized accessories

may require specialised freight or transport.

Where the website cannot accurately calculate delivery for a large item, AluBoats will contact the customer to confirm the delivery arrangements and applicable transport cost.

A separate transport quotation may be required.

5. CUSTOM-BUILT BOATS & TRAILERS

Delivery or collection of a custom-built boat or trailer can only take place once the product is ready for release and the required payment terms have been met.

Estimated manufacturing completion dates are not automatically guaranteed delivery dates.

Once the boat or trailer is nearing completion, AluBoats will communicate with the customer regarding collection or transport arrangements.

6. DELIVERY CHARGES

Delivery charges depend on factors including:

• Delivery destination
• Product size
• Product weight
• Packaging requirements
• Freight or courier charges
• Specialised transport requirements

Where a delivery charge is displayed and accepted during checkout, that charge will apply to the applicable order unless an obvious pricing or system error has occurred.

Where specialised delivery is required, the delivery cost may be quoted separately.

7. DELIVERY TIMES

Any delivery timeframe provided by AluBoats is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in writing.

Delivery may be affected by:

• Courier or freight delays
• Road conditions
• Weather
• Supplier delays
• Remote delivery locations
• Public holidays
• Transport availability
• Circumstances reasonably outside our control

AluBoats will make reasonable efforts to assist customers where significant delivery delays occur.

8. DELIVERY ADDRESS

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and contact telephone number.

Please check your delivery information carefully before confirming your order.

Where additional delivery costs arise because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, or because delivery could not reasonably be completed due to circumstances attributable to the customer, additional transport charges may apply where permitted by law.

9. RECEIVING YOUR DELIVERY

Customers should inspect their order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

For large or valuable items, we strongly recommend inspecting the product and packaging before or during unloading where practical.

If there is visible damage:

• Photograph the packaging before removing it where possible
• Photograph the damaged area
• Retain the packaging
• Record visible damage with the courier or transport provider where possible
• Contact AluBoats promptly

These steps assist us in investigating transport damage and lodging any necessary freight or insurance claim.

10. DAMAGED GOODS

If goods appear to have been damaged during transport, please contact AluBoats promptly with your order or invoice number and photographs of the damage.

Please do not install or use visibly damaged equipment where doing so could cause further damage or create a safety risk.

AluBoats will assess the circumstances and assist with the appropriate resolution in accordance with applicable law.

11. COLLECTION FROM ALUBOATS

Collection may be arranged directly from AluBoats where applicable.

Customers collecting an order should wait for confirmation that the order is ready before travelling to collect it.

For boats and trailers, customers are responsible for ensuring that the towing vehicle, towbar and towing equipment are suitable and legally compliant for the load being collected.

12. CUSTOMER-ARRANGED TRANSPORT

Customers may arrange their own transport or freight provider by prior agreement with AluBoats.

Where the customer appoints their own independent transport provider, collection arrangements must be confirmed with AluBoats in advance.

Responsibility and risk will be determined in accordance with the circumstances and applicable South African law and will not be deemed transferred earlier than permitted by law.

13. INTERNATIONAL & CROSS-BORDER DELIVERY

International or cross-border delivery may be available by special arrangement.

Additional charges may apply for freight, customs clearance, duties, taxes, permits and other cross-border requirements.

Unless expressly included in our quotation, the customer is responsible for applicable destination-country duties, taxes, import requirements and customs charges.

Customers should contact AluBoats before placing an international or cross-border order where delivery arrangements are unclear.

14. DELIVERY & CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in this Shipping & Delivery Policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights or remedies available to a customer under applicable South African law.
